WESTGATE, HUNSTANTON
King’s Lynn & West Norfolk Borough Council has recently approved planning permission for a re-development within the Hunstanton Conservation Area. The site was occupied by three separate buildings: Tabor House (Nos. 96 & 98 Westgate), the former UDC Offices and No. 6 Kings Lynn Road. These buildings were subsequently amalgamated to form a single office/commercial complex. The Council prepared an appraisal of the designated area in 2009 and this identified that two elements of the complex, Tabor House and No. 6 Kings Lynn Road, were of local interest. Woodhall advised on the retention of Tabor House together with the design of the replacement building on the site and prepared the Heritage Statement that accompanied the planning application.

KNOLLE PARK, LIVERPOOL
Liverpool City Council has recently approved planning permission and listed building consent for an innovative residential development at Knolle Park, Woolton. This includes the conversion of the existing nineteenth-century house and lodge, which are listed Grade II, and the construction of a new apartment block and houses within the grounds. Various unsympathetic additions to the site that were constructed during its time as a convent would be demolished and key elements of the historic landscape would be retained as the setting for the new housing. Woodhall had advised on the development of the design and prepared the Heritage Statement that accompanied the applications.
